The Town Clerk's Office staff is usually the first contact a customer encounters. Staff answers questions directing them to other departments when necessary. Water and sewer utilities are billed and collected by the clerk's office staff along with business licenses, dog licenses, rental agreements and various permitting.
The Town Clerk's Office staff is responsible to assist the Mayor, Council, Town staff and various committees, commissions and boards.
The Town Clerk's Office staff is also responsible for the financial management of the Town; budget development and monitoring, management of the Town's cash, investments, and debt and general ledger accounting, audit coordination, cash receipting, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable and purchasing.

PUBLIC WORKS
Hours: 7am - 3pm Monday - Friday
The Public Works Department maintains the Town's streets, water utility, wastewater utility, drainage, parks, pool and all Town owned buildings.

BUILDING & PLANNING
Open: By Appointment

Building: Currently the Town contracts for Building Official services through the County. The Building Official is on site two times per week. He is often busy with off-site building inspections so it is best to have an appointment.
Planning: The Town contracts with Highlands Associates for our planning and zoning services. Kurt Danison is our current planner and is on-site one time per week for approximately 4 hours, it is best to call for an appointment.

TWISP MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Address: 51A Airport Road
The Twisp Municipal Airport is located approximately .5 miles south of Twisp with two entrances. Aviation Lane off of Hwy 20 (provides access to the North portion) and at 51A off of Airport Road (provides access to the South portion and the play fields).
The Airport Improvement Club is a very active and energized group of men and women that plan events, work on special improvement projects, welcome visitors to the area and look out for the general well being of the airport.

Our Police Department is small but functions well with the staff experience and expertise we have. The Chief and staff work well with our citizens and other local agencies to provide Twisp with top notch service.

The Town of Twisp currently contracts for fire protection services with Okanogan County Fire District #6. District #6 is a combination of paid staff and volunteers from the County and Town's of Twisp and Winthrop. The volunteers take their jobs seriously and their dedication to their communites shows.
